Cardrona Play Park

We now have an excellent playpark for the young people of the village.  This was thanks to Marie Gilmour and her team of Dominic Finn, Noreen Fairbairn, Gordon Russell and assisted by SBC staff, Jean Robertson, Craig Blackie, Jim Hogg and Jason Hedley with support from Cllr Garvie and Brian McCrow.  Tom Renwick leased the land free of charge.  The Playpark Committee raised about £72,000 via Awards for All, Gannochy, Garfield Weston, Robertson Trust, SBC Landfill, SBC Community Grant Scheme plus funds raised directly by the committee.  Innerleithen Rotary provided signage and Innerleithen Community Council provided 3 benches.

SBC have taken over the on-going maintenance of the playpark.
